This position oversees multiple licensed full-day preschool programs, half-day preschool programs, and related summer programming. The Senior Director leads and supports program directors, establishes consistent standards across locations, monitors program quality and regulatory compliance, and uses enrollment, staffing, financial, and performance data to strengthen program operations and long-term sustainability. Key areas of responsibility include staff leadership and development, NC DCDEE licensing compliance, CACFP oversight, budgeting and financial performance, enrollment and family retention, curriculum and program quality, family engagement, and continuous quality improvement. The Senior Director works closely with YMCA leadership, branch teams, regulatory agencies, and community partners to ensure programs provide a safe, high-quality, consistent experience for children and families. The ideal candidate is a strong early childhood leader who can balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational support. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Birth-Kindergarten, Childhood Education, Human Services, Business Management, or a related field; at least five years of early childhood administrative leadership experience; and strong knowledge of licensing, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and program operations. This is a full-time, exempt leadership position with an association-wide presence and regular travel throughout Burke, Catawba, and Lincoln Counties.

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
