A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

ADMINISTRATOR
Job Description:
Directly supervises the Facility Department Directors and is responsible for assuring that employees in all departments perform their jobs appropriately. Establishes and maintains personnel policies and department policies and procedures; and assures that these policies and procedures are carried out by the staff. Follows policies and procedures for compliance with federal, state, and local standards for Nursing Facility operation, and reviews compliance of staff with policies and procedures. Interviews and selects competent personnel to supervise/direct activities of all departments. Participates in and conducts in-service training for supervisory personnel and staff. Prepares an annual budget for the facility and evaluates the financial status of the facility monthly. Represents the Nursing Facility in various outside activities and in dealing with various agencies including governmental and third party payers.
Job Requirements:
Prefer a four-year degree and a minimum of four years supervisory experience in a Nursing Facility. A valid N.C. license to operate as a Nursing Home Administrator. Sound knowledge of personnel administration and must be able to supervise all employees.< A sound knowledge of local, Federal and State regulations, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, nursing and medical practices and procedures, and any other laws pertaining to Nursing Facility operation. Ability to promote public relations. Ability to interpret financial statements and prepare monthly reports for Long Term Care Management Services.
