Duties Lead and manage the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with all state and local regulations. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff members, promoting professional growth and high standards of care. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, including preschool, toddler, infant care, and special education needs. Oversee classroom management to ensure a positive, inclusive environment that encourages learning through play and exploration. Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, health reports, incident reports, and licensing documentation. Foster strong relationships with families by communicating regularly about their child's progress and addressing concerns promptly. Ensure all staff are trained in pediatric first aid, mandated reporting laws, behavior management techniques, and other safety protocols. Manage budgets, supplies, and resources efficiently to support program quality and operational excellence. Qualifications Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Demonstrated classroom management skills with a focus on creating safe and nurturing environments. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and teaching strategies. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations. Prior experience in daycare or preschool administration or leadership roles preferred. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and community partners.
