ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Center Director to lead the operations and continued growth of an early childhood education center in Paramus, NJ . The Director will play a key role in creating a positive environment for children, families, and staff while ensuring the center operates effectively and in accordance with applicable childcare licensing requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong childcare leadership experience, business-growth skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the day-to-day operations of the childcare center. Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing requirements, regulations, and standards. Lead, support, and collaborate with teachers and administrative staff to maintain a positive team environment. Help recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high-quality staff. Build strong relationships with children, families, employees, and the local community. Support enrollment growth and contribute to the overall growth and development of the center and business. Identify opportunities to improve center operations, family satisfaction, and overall performance. Maintain a safe, nurturing, organized, and engaging environment for children. Address operational and staffing challenges effectively and professionally. Work collaboratively with ownership and the center team to achieve business and educational goals. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required. Previous experience in childcare/early childhood education leadership or center management. Demonstrated experience with childcare licensing, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Proven ability to contribute to center enrollment and business growth. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build positive relationships with families and employees. Must be a team player who can work collaboratively with staff and leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced childcare environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary:

$70,000

•75,000 annually Health insurance with 90% of the premium covered by the employer and 10% by the employee Vacation days 401(k) option after one year of employment
