The Learning Experience in Piscataway, NJ is seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Center Director to lead our high-quality early childhood education center. We are looking for a dynamic leader who is committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for children, supporting and developing teachers, and building strong relationships with families. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the child care center. Ensure full compliance with all New Jersey child care licensing regulations and maintain licensing standards at all times. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of New Jersey child care licensing requirements and apply them effectively in the daily operation of the center. Prepare for and successfully manage state licensing inspections, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and up to date. Lead, coach, mentor, and develop teaching staff to promote a positive and professional work environment. Build and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and the community. Manage enrollment, staffing, scheduling, and center budgets. Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children and staff. Maintain high standards of curriculum implementation and educational quality. Ensure excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for prospective and current families. Qualifications Previous experience as a Child Care Center Director, Assistant Director, or in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting. Comprehensive knowledge of New Jersey child care licensing requirements is required. Experience successfully managing licensing inspections and maintaining compliance is strongly preferred. Experience with NJ Grow Kids is preferred, but not required. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Passion for early childhood education and child development. Ability to recruit, train, motivate, and retain high-quality staff. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, or qualifications that meet New Jersey Director requirements. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
