A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description

Are you a passionate leader with a love for early childhood education? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Child Care Center Director to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our vibrant childcare program.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and management to ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, staff, and families Supervise, mentor, and support teachers and staff, fostering a positive and professional workplace culture Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies Build strong partnerships with families and the community through clear communication and engagement Manage enrollment, staffing schedules, budgeting, and program development Promote an enriching curriculum that supports children's social, emotional, and academic growth
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in childcare/early education, including at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role Strong knowledge of state childcare licensing requirements and best practices in early childhood education Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Proficiency in computer skills, including:
  • Childcare management software (e.g., Procare or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Email and digital communication platforms
  • Basic record-keeping, data entry, and reporting
