Requirements:

The incumbent will be board eligible, or board certified in Pediatric Anesthesia, and will have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.

Position Highlights:

The Director of Mahoning Valley Surgery Center is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the surgery center, ensuring high-quality anesthesia care, and supporting a range of initiatives to improve patient care and safety. This role involves providing operational and anesthesia support, assisting with quality improvement projects, promoting sustainability, responding to safety events, and collaborating with surgeons and perioperative surgical home providers. The Director will work closely with the Chair of Anesthesia to streamline anesthesia care across all areas of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management Anesthesia Support and Coordination Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Sustainability Efforts Collaboration and Communication Support for Perioperative Surgical Home Expansion and Development of Service Resource Management This position offers: Outpatient-focused practice at our Boardman facility, with a wide variety of pediatric surgical procedures. Minimal call requirement â€" approximately one call per quarter at Akron Children's main campus in Akron, Ohio. Supportive, collegial team with strong collaboration across surgical and anesthesia teams. Opportunities for teaching and involvement in hospital committees if desired.
