A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Now HIRING an INTERIM Site Director for the 2026
  • 2027 School year in Iowa City, IA 52240 Roles are through KinderCare Learning Companies!
We hope you will join us in celebrating, fostering relationships with students, families, district personnel and MORE! This role is for a wrap Program that occurs Before & After the normal School Day at the School!
Program Hours:
Programs Run Monday
  • Friday!
No Nights! No Weekends!
SPLIT SHIFT!
Before School:
6:00-7:55am
After School:
2:55pm-6:00pm Interim Site Directors will range between 32-35 hours a week working remote in between program hours. Pay ranges between $17
  • 20/hour based on education and experience
