JOB SUMMARY

Ensures the continuous, effective operation and the continuous improvement of the activities of Surgical Nursing Services. Assures integration of departmental services with the hospital's overall functioning to meet established organizational goals.

Minimum Education Master's Degree in Nursing, unless waived by VP of Nursing Minimum Work Experience 5 years Required Licenses/Certifications Registered Nurse Certification as Nurse Executive Advanced within 2 years of hire as director Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Deals effectively with community/consumers Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care Demonstrated interpersonal skills Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills Maintains professional appearance and decorum at all times Requires ability to handle confidential information Designated Driver Yes OSHA Category 3 - Low Risk
