WE'RE HIRING AN EXPERIENCED CHILD CARE CENTER DIRECTOR!
KIDS Early Learning Centers is seeking an experienced, dependable, motivated, and results-driven Child Care Center Director to lead our Fort Worth location .
DIRECTOR CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.
Applicants must already have their Texas Child Care Director Certification/Credential and meet the qualifications to serve as a Director in a licensed Texas child care center. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can successfully manage the people, operations, compliance, enrollment, and culture of an early learning center . We are looking for a Director who takes ownership, leads by example, communicates effectively, develops strong teachers, builds relationships with families, maintains licensing compliance, and is committed to growing and maintaining enrollment . Our Director must be comfortable being visible throughout the center—not simply managing from the office. What You Will Be Responsible ForCenter Leadership & Operations Oversee the daily operations of the entire child care center . Ensure the center opens, operates, and closes according to company policies and licensing requirements. Maintain appropriate staffing and required child-to-staff ratios throughout the day. Develop and manage staff schedules, classroom assignments, breaks, lunches, and coverage. Step into classrooms and provide coverage when necessary due to breaks, call-outs, vacations, or staffing shortages. Ensure classrooms, common areas, playgrounds, offices, and other areas of the center are safe, clean, organized, and ready for children and families. Complete and review required daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and checklists. Communicate staffing, enrollment, compliance, family, and operational concerns to executive leadership promptly. Staff Leadership & Accountability Lead, supervise, coach, train, and develop teachers and support staff. Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new employees as needed. Establish clear expectations for staff performance, attendance, professionalism, classroom management, and job responsibilities. Hold employees accountable for following center policies and procedures. Conduct classroom observations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Ensure employees complete required annual training and professional development. Address employee performance concerns and workplace conflicts promptly and professionally. Build a positive, professional, accountable, and team-oriented school culture . Lead by example and maintain high standards for professionalism, communication, and customer service. Enrollment & Family Retention Enrollment growth is a key responsibility of this position. Take an active role in increasing and maintaining center enrollment . Respond promptly and professionally to prospective families. Conduct engaging center tours and confidently communicate the value of KIDS Early Learning Centers. Follow up consistently with prospective families and enrollment leads. Support families throughout the enrollment process. Build strong relationships with current families to promote satisfaction and retention. Address parent questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly. Monitor withdrawals and identify opportunities to improve family retention. Participate in open houses, community outreach, family engagement events, and other enrollment initiatives. Represent KIDS Early Learning Centers professionally within the community. Licensing, Safety & Compliance Maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Regulation Minimum Standards , company policies, and applicable accreditation and quality standards. Maintain the center in a state of continuous licensing and inspection readiness . Ensure child and employee records are complete, accurate, confidential, and current. Monitor classroom supervision, ratios, health and safety practices, sanitation, and required documentation. Ensure attendance, incident reports, accident reports, medication records, emergency information, and other required records are completed correctly and on time. Ensure all employees maintain required training and credentials. Correct compliance concerns immediately and follow up to ensure continued compliance. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children, families, employees, and visitors. Administrative & Financial Responsibilities Monitor tuition accounts and support timely tuition collection. Maintain accurate center records and required documentation. Monitor center expenses, supplies, inventory, and purchasing. Help control unnecessary spending and operational waste. Use child care management software and other computer systems to maintain accurate center information. Review center performance, enrollment, staffing, and operational needs regularly. Work collaboratively with corporate leadership and support teams.

REQUIRED.
Applicant must already meet Texas requirements to serve as the Director of a licensed child care center . Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience in a licensed child care setting . Previous experience as a Child Care Center Director or Assistant Director strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards . Strong knowledge of early childhood education and child development. Experience managing employees, staffing, scheduling, classroom ratios, and center operations. Experience coaching, training, and holding employees accountable. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced child care environment. Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to communicate professionally with parents, employees, leadership, and community partners. Ability to build and maintain a positive workplace culture. Experience with enrollment, center tours, lead follow-up, and family retention preferred. Experience with tuition collection and child care management systems preferred. Experience with Texas Rising Star, NAC, NAEYC, or other early childhood quality/accreditation programs is a plus. Must be proficient with basic computer systems, email, and digital communication. Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently . Physical Requirements The Director must be able to: Lift up to 40 lbs. Work indoors and outdoors. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and interact with children at their level. Actively supervise children when providing classroom coverage. Respond quickly and appropriately during emergency situations. Perform classroom duties when necessary to maintain staffing and ratios.
