Full-time, In-person Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced, driven Director of Preschool to lead their campus. For more than 40 years, the school has been recognized as a leader in early childhood education in Houston, known for a large, beautiful facility and a loyal, long-standing parent community. This is an opportunity to step into a well-established school and take real ownership of its daily operations, enrollment, and staff, while working directly with founders who built the organization from the ground up and remain personally invested in developing their leadership team. The ideal Director is a seasoned early childhood education professional with genuine executive presence: someone comfortable engaging eye-to-eye with a parent community that includes physicians, attorneys, and other professionals, and who takes pride in representing the school at that level. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the campus, including admissions, staffing, classroom oversight, and compliance with state childcare regulations. Build and sustain enrollment through strong parent engagement, community outreach, and a polished, professional presentation of the school. Supervise and mentor teaching staff; conduct evaluations and support ongoing professional development. Partner with ownership on budgeting, financial performance, and cost management for the campus. Uphold the school's Montessori-based curriculum and ensure a safe, nurturing, and academically strong environment for children. Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, staff, and licensing agencies. Qualifications 15+ years of experience in early childhood education, including prior experience in a director or senior leadership role. Proven ability to grow and retain enrollment, with strong presentation and relationship-building skills with parents and the community. Experience supervising and developing teaching staff. Working knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and compliance standards. Montessori credential preferred, not required for the right candidate. Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
