• Full-time Center Director Golden Root Academy Full-Time, On-Site Atascocita / Humble, TX Founding leadership role at a brand-new childcare and respite care center Golden Root Academy is a new bilingual, STEM-enriched daycare and respite care center opening in the Atascocita/Humble area, built on a simple idea: every child grows best when they're rooted in care, curiosity, and community.

We're looking for a Center Director to help us open our doors and lead this center from the ground up. This is not a role where you're stepping into someone else's systems. You'll be the first Director this center has ever had — shaping its culture, building its team, and setting the standard for what "excellent" looks like here from day one. About Golden Root Academy Golden Root Academy offers Full-Day Daycare, After School Care, and Respite Care across three developmental tiers — Seedlings, Sprouts, and Roots. Our curriculum blends bilingual instruction, STEM enrichment, and social-emotional learning within a Texas Pre-K aligned framework, giving families a program that feels both nurturing and academically serious. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day center operations, ensuring full compliance with Texas HHSC Chapter 746 licensing standards. Recruit, hire, train, and mentor Lead Teachers and support staff, building the founding team culture of the center. Oversee curriculum implementation across Seedlings, Sprouts, and Roots age tiers, ensuring bilingual and STEM components are delivered with quality and consistency.

Own enrollment:

conduct family tours, answer admissions questions, and convert interest into enrolled families during the critical pre-opening and launch phases. Manage center budget, staffing ratios, supply ordering, and vendor relationships. Build relationships with local families, schools, pediatricians, and community organizations to establish Golden Root Academy's presence in the Atascocita/Humble community. Maintain health, safety, and emergency-preparedness protocols, including ratios, drills, and required documentation. Partner directly with ownership on marketing execution, pricing, and growth planning. What You Bring Texas Child Care Center Director qualification per HHSC Minimum Standards (or eligibility to obtain credential prior to opening). 3+ years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1+ year in a leadership or director-track role. Working knowledge of Texas HHSC Chapter 746 licensing requirements. A genuine entrepreneurial mindset — comfort with ambiguity, building processes from scratch, and wearing multiple hats during the launch phase. Strong people leadership skills; you build teams that families and staff both want to stay with. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, reflecting the center's bilingual program design. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to certify before opening). Compensation & Growth Path Competitive salary of $50,000
