A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description
Starting Pay:
Around $14/hour | Full-Time We are looking for a dependable, confident, and hands-on Closing Manager to join our leadership team! Our school is a place where small moments make a big impact. We believe children deserve a safe, loving, engaging environment, teachers deserve strong support, and families deserve great communication. We need a closing manager who shares that vision and is willing to jump in wherever needed. What we're looking for:- Childcare experience required; leadership experience preferred
- Reliable and able to work closing hours consistently
- Confident leading and supporting teachers
- Strong communication with parents and staff
- Able to maintain ratios, supervision, and licensing standards
- Comfortable handling end-of-day issues and making decisions
- Willing to step into classrooms and help—not just supervise from the office
- Organized, positive, and able to hold staff accountable
- Knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing is a plus Responsibilities include:
- Supporting classrooms and teachers during the afternoon/closing shift
- Monitoring ratios, supervision, and classroom safety
- Communicating professionally with parents
- Helping manage staff breaks and classroom coverage
- Ensuring classrooms and common areas are ready for the next day
- Completing closing procedures and securing the building
- Supporting our Director and leadership team
