A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

The ideal candidate should be friendly, dependable, comfortable working with families and staff, and capable of helping manage the center's daily operations. Responsibilities Manage daily administrative and office operations. Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and management. Answer phone calls, emails, and parent inquiries. Maintain student, staff, and center records. Assist with enrollment, attendance, tuition/payment records, and paperwork. Coordinate with teachers and help manage staff schedules. Handle parent concerns professionally and respectfully. Assist the Director with day-to-day center management. Maintain compliance with all state childcare licensing regulations, requirements, and center policies. Keep required licensing records and documentation organized and up to date. Requirements Basic computer knowledge (email, Microsoft Word/Excel, data entry, etc.). Strong English communication skills , both verbal and written. Friendly and professional when dealing with parents and staff. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Dependable, responsible, and willing to learn. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Childcare, school, administrative, or office experience is a plus . Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is long-term, trustworthy, proactive, and takes ownership of their responsibilities . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a childcare environment and has the ability to grow into a stronger center-management role.
