Improve lives. Support families and Caregivers JABA is seeking an experienced healthcare or human services leader to oversee our Adult Day Center (Respite & Enrichment Center). This position is ideal for a nurse, healthcare manager, social worker, therapist, or experienced aging services professional who is passionate about providing exceptional care to older adults while supporting caregivers. As the Center Manager, you will lead a team dedicated to providing person-centered care, a safe, enriching environment for individuals living with cognitive and physical challenges. This role combines clinical oversight, team leadership, operational management, and community engagement to ensure the highest quality of care for those we serve. Your leadership will directly enhance the quality of life for participants and strengthen services for families throughout our community Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and daily oversight of the Adult Day Center, ensuring exceptional participant care and program quality. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of staff and volunteers. Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations, licensing standards, and organizational policies. Foster a culture of safety, dignity, respect, and person-centered care. Assist with admissions, assessments, care planning, and family communication. Promote the program through community outreach, referral development, and relationship building with healthcare providers and community organizations.
Education Requirements:
While we value all backgrounds and transferrable skills, eligible candidates must meet one of the following: Have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience working with older adults or persons with disabilities. Current licensure as a nursing home administrator or assisted living facility administrator from the Board of Long-Term Care Administrators Current licensure in Virginia as a registered nurse. An exception can be made for any person continuously employed in an adult day center licensed prior to July 1, 2000, as either a director or assistant director who has completed at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of postsecondary education from an accredited college or institution and has completed at least two years' experience working with older adults or persons with disabilities.
