This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least two years of leadership experience in a licensed, center-based early learning program who is ready to take the next step in their career. What You'll Do As Assistant Director, you'll partner with the Academy Director to support the daily operation of a busy preschool and childcare center . Supporting daily center operations, staffing, scheduling, and classroom needs Maintaining compliance with Washington State childcare licensing requirements (WACs) Coaching, supporting, and building strong relationships with teachers and staff Creating positive, trusting relationships with children and families Supporting enrollment, tours, family engagement, and retention Helping maintain a safe, organized, high-quality learning environment Using technology and multiple childcare, HR, communication, and administrative systems Identifying challenges, solving problems, and helping the center run smoothly

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a leader who is organized, proactive, relationship-driven, and operationally strong.

Ideal candidates will have:

2+ years of leadership experience in a center-based ECE program Experience as an Assistant Director, Program Supervisor, Center Director, or similar role Experience working in a larger childcare center Strong knowledge of Washington State childcare licensing requirements Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families and staff Experience with staffing, scheduling, enrollment, or day-to-day center operations Comfort using multiple software applications and technology platforms Strong organizational skills, judgment, and follow-through A collaborative, hands-on leadership style and passion for early childhood education Why Join Kiddie Academy? Compensation and Benefits:

Pay:

$27.00 - $33.50 per hour. Starting pay within this range is based on relevant experience, education, and qualifications.

Benefits:

Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to eligible employees.

Paid time off:

PTO accrues based on hours worked and tenure. Full-time employees earn approximately 80-120 hours annually.

Paid holidays:

Eligible full-time employees receive company-paid holidays in accordance with company policy.

Other compensation:

Qualifying full-time teacher positions are eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
