Director of Early Childhood Education

ABC Early Learning is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead our team of child care professionals. The ideal candidate is a true leader who understands the importance of positive approaches and knows how to inspire and motivate a team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the child care center, including leading staff, scheduling, providing staff breaks, preparing meals and snacks, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children. Maintain and implement educational play-based activity program that meet the needs of each child and promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Hire, train, and evaluate staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide excellent care for our children. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth for all staff members. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and community members, and effectively communicate with them on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

Degree in Early Childhood Education, or Child Development. (or min 45 credits, working towards degree) Must be at least 18 years old per Washington state requirements. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a child care center or related field. Knowledge of state licensing regulations and experience with licensing inspections. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead with positive approaches and inspire and motivate a team.
