- Full-time Overview The Director of the Child Development Center Ministry is a dynamic and compassionate leader dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and developmental growth of children within a faith-based community.
This role involves overseeing all aspects of the ministry's operations, fostering a welcoming environment for families, and guiding staff and volunteers to deliver impactful programs rooted in Christian values. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for working with children, and a deep commitment to serving others through faith-driven service. Responsibilities Lead the development, and implementation of age-appropriate educational and spiritual programs for children of various age groups. Manage daily operations of the Child Development Center Ministry, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children and families. Recruit, train, and mentor staff and volunteers to uphold ministry standards and foster a team-oriented atmosphere focused on compassionate service. Coordinate special events such as holiday celebrations, parent workshops, and community outreach initiatives that promote family engagement and spiritual growth. Develop fundraising strategies to support ministry activities, including grant writing, donor engagement, and community partnerships. Communicate effectively with parents, church leadership, and community stakeholders to ensure transparency, collaboration, and ongoing program improvement. Requirements Bible believing Christian. 2 years of proven experience in an approved childcare facility, teaching or mentoring children within a faith-based or educational setting, and willing to support Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod doctrine in the Center. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects efficiently. Strong communication skills essential for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Experience in event planning with an emphasis on family-oriented activities and community outreach Ability to work collaboratively in a faith-centered environment while maintaining professionalism and sensitivity to diverse needs.
