Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic professional to support the daily care and development of young children in a safe, nurturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, communicates well with families and team members, and is committed to promoting each child's growth, well-being, and positive early learning experiences. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of children throughout the day. Support daily routines, including meals, naps, hygiene, transitions, and age-appropriate activities. Engage children in educational, creative, and play-based experiences that encourage development. Maintain a warm, respectful, and positive environment that supports social and emotional growth. Assist with classroom or play area organization, cleaning, and general upkeep. Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding daily activities, observations, and concerns. Follow all health, safety, licensing, and program policies and procedures. Respond calmly and appropriately to children's needs, behaviors, and routines. Qualifications Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain patient, calm, and attentive in a busy environment. Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of age-appropriate child development and care practices is a plus. Ability to meet any required background check, health, or licensing requirements as applicable. Current CPR and First Aid certification may be required or preferred depending on the organization. Preferred Attributes Friendly and engaging approach with children and families.
