Job Description
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our 18-month-old classroom ! The ideal candidate has a passion for early childhood education, enjoys working with toddlers, and creates a positive, nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while helping little learners reach important milestones.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Help implement age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development Support children with feeding, diapering, potty training readiness, and hygiene routines Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Encourage social, emotional, and language development through play and interaction Help maintain daily reports and communication with parents Follow all licensing regulations and center policiesQualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required Previous childcare experience preferred but not required Experience working with toddlers is a plus Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and a team player Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day Must pass required background checks CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and frequently bend, sit on the floor, and actively participate in classroom activitiesWhat We're Looking For:
