Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Part-time Afternoon Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young learners during afternoon hours. As a floater, you will provide flexible coverage across multiple classrooms, helping maintain a smooth daily routine and fostering positive developmental experiences for children. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education who thrives in a lively, team-oriented setting.
Duties Hours:
Monday - Thursday 1 - 4 pm Provide consistent child supervision and support in various classrooms during afternoon shifts Assist teachers with classroom management, activity setup, and clean-up to promote engaging learning experiences Support children's social-emotional development through positive interactions and behavior management strategies Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to child supervision protocols and emergency procedures Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily updates, concerns, or questions about their child's day Implement age-appropriate activities aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific activity planning Certification in First Aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management techniques Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team coordination Experience with classroom management, daycare procedures, and mandated reporting laws is advantageous Passion for nurturing young children's growth and development in a safe, supportive setting Join us in creating joyful learning experiences! Pay:
