Job Description

Primary Purpose The Twos Classroom Teacher provides a Christ-centered, structured, and nurturing environment where two-year-old children can learn and grow. This role emphasizes social development, early language skills, independence, and hands-on learning through play. Responsibilities Model Christ-like behavior and integrate biblical truths throughout the classroom experience. Create a safe and loving classroom environment that fosters learning and exploration. Implement daily routines and lesson plans that encourage independence, early problem-solving, language development, and social skills. Support potty training and self-help skills in collaboration with parents. Work with outside therapist to implement routines and structure for children with special diabilities. Maintain classroom order, cleanliness, and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents regarding classroom activities, routines, and their child's progress. Supervise children at all times and ensure their well-being. Collaborate with aides, floaters, and other teachers to ensure consistency in care and instruction. Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings, and school events as requested. Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the staff handbook. Qualifications A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission of Shining Stars Preschool & MDO. 1 to 3 years experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children (preferred). Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage independence and early learning. Patience, strong communication skills, and a nurturing spirit. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Early childhood or CDA with 1 to 3 years experience. 1 to 3 years of experience with Toddlers and Twos. 1 to 3 years experience working with children with special disabilities. CPR/First Aid Certified Able to pass a Federal fingerprint background check and receive a TB injection Successful completion of background check and Ministry Safe training.
