Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and organized Child Care Center Operations Assistant to support the Center Director with the daily operations of our child care center. This position is an important part of the center leadership team and helps ensure a safe, positive, and well-organized environment for children, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities Assist the Center Director with daily center operations and administrative tasks. Help manage staff schedules, classroom coverage, attendance, and staffing ratios. Support and provide guidance to teachers and classroom staff. Assist with staff onboarding, training, and implementation of center policies. Monitor classrooms to ensure appropriate supervision, safety, and quality of care. Communicate professionally with parents and guardians and assist with routine questions or concerns. Maintain accurate center records and required documentation. Assist with compliance with Alabama DHR child care licensing requirements. Support enrollment activities, family events, inspections, and center activities. Help ensure the center is clean, safe, organized, and adequately supplied. Serve in a leadership capacity in the Center Director's absence. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in child care, early childhood education, or a related setting. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff. Must meet applicable Alabama DHR child care licensing requirements.
