PM Compensation:

$50 per Sunday Position Summary Foley UMC is seeking a caring, dependable, and nurturing Nursery Worker to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children ages 5 and under during Sunday morning worship services and church activities. The Nursery Worker will supervise children, attend to basic needs, and help create a positive experience for both children and parents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide attentive care and supervision for infants and children up to age 5 Create a safe, clean, and nurturing nursery environment Greet parents and children warmly during drop-off and pick-up Engage children in age-appropriate play, activities, and comforting care Change diapers and assist with basic toileting needs as needed Provide snacks or bottles as directed by parents (if applicable) Coordinate with church volunteers who assist in the nursery Identify substitute nursery workers when unable to be present Monitor children for safety and respond appropriately to accidents, illness, or behavioral concerns Maintain cleanliness and organization of nursery toys, furniture, and supplies Follow church policies regarding child safety, emergency procedures, and check-in/check-out procedures Communicate respectfully and effectively with parents and church staff Qualifications Experience caring for young children (professional, volunteer, babysitting, daycare, nursery, or parenting experience preferred) Warm, patient, and nurturing personality Dependable and punctual Ability to manage multiple children in a calm and safe manner Ability to lift and carry infants or small children as needed Must be comfortable changing diapers and assisting with basic childcare needs CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Must pass a background check and comply with church child protection policies Desired Characteristics Loves working with young children Friendly and welcoming to families Responsible and trustworthy Calm under pressure Supportive of the church's mission and values Compensation & Hours $50 per
