POSITION TITLE
Teacher - Early Childhood - Pre-K
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Alabama Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education Minimum B.S. Degree Endorsement in Appropriate Area Must be Highly Qualified Working knowledge of computers and software. Must be able to lift, bend, and squat as assignment may require. Must have Background, Drug, and TB Clearance
REPORTS TO
Pre-K Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine individual and class needs. Supervise Students Establish objectives and plan learning experiences. Implement activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere. Exhibit positive human relations skills. Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication. Evaluate the educational program and/or student progress. Communicate with parents/guardians, colleagues and community groups. Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication. Maintain and submit records and reports. Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy and state and federal rules and regulations. Engage in personal and professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership. Implement the planning and conduct of daily learning activities within the classroom as defined by the State Course of Study and the Board of Education. Shall perform any other position related duties as assigned. Maintain the confidentiality of student records.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year to be in accordance with the current applicable salary schedule .
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy of Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
