The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic and social development of students. This role involves engaging with children in various educational settings, including daycare and preschool environments. A focus on early intervention strategies and child welfare is essential to support the diverse needs of our students. Duties Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Participate in on-going staff development and training. Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain student engagement and discipline. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Provide individualized support for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention. Incorporate hands-on activities, including components of the Abeka Curriculum appropriate for each age level, to enhance learning experiences. Assess student performance through observations, tests, and assessments to inform instructional practices. Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for all students. Requirements High School diploma. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred. Experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and child welfare practices. Ability to teach foundational subjects. A passion for fostering a love of learning in young children through creative teaching methods.
