This position works with children of all age groups by covering classrooms, assisting teachers, maintaining classroom ratios, and safely transporting children as needed. Candidates must be flexible, reliable, and willing to travel to all locations in Montgomery and Prattville. Responsibilities Provide classroom coverage as needed throughout the centers. Assist lead and assistant teachers with daily classroom activities. Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times. Follow classroom schedules, routines, and lesson plans. Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, and nap time as needed. Maintain clean, organized, and engaging classroom environments. Safely transport children to and from designated locations as assigned. Complete required vehicle and safety checks before and after transporting children. Ensure children are properly secured while riding in center vehicles. Maintain accurate transportation and attendance records. Follow all transportation procedures and safety requirements. Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Follow all Alabama DHR licensing regulations and center policies. Qualifications Previous childcare experience is preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable. Must be flexible and willing to work with all age groups. Must be willing to travel to all Bible Babies Learning Academy and Shooting Stars Child Development Center locations in Montgomery and Prattville. Must have strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Must be comfortable driving a childcare van and transporting children. Must meet all applicable requirements for transporting children. Must be able to pass a background check and Alabama Child Abuse/Neglect (CA/N) Central Registry screening.
