Join the Kidz Zone Learning Academy team! Kidz Zone Learning Academy is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic Afternoon Floater to join our team! The Afternoon Floater plays an important role in supporting our classrooms, welcoming our afterschool students, and helping the center run smoothly through the end of the day. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, works well as part of a team, and is looking for consistent weekday afternoon hours. Schedule Monday-Friday 2:00 PM-6:00 PM This position has a regular schedule of 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, with opportunities for additional hours when available. The Afternoon Floater may occasionally be offered the opportunity to come in earlier or substitute in a classroom when additional coverage is needed. Availability for additional hours is a plus but is not guaranteed.

What You'll Do:

Assist teachers and provide support in classrooms as needed Help maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios Assist with the arrival and transition of afterschool students into the center Welcome and supervise children as they return from school Assist with afternoon snacks, activities, and daily routines Supervise and engage with children in a positive and age-appropriate manner Provide classroom coverage as needed Assist with classroom transitions throughout the afternoon Help combine classrooms appropriately as attendance decreases toward the end of the day Assist with dismissal and help prepare children for parent pickup Help keep classrooms and common areas clean, safe, and organized Assist with end-of-day classroom duties and organization Step in wherever needed to help afternoon operations run smoothly Follow Kidz Zone policies, procedures, and childcare safety requirements Because this is a floater position, flexibility is important. You may work with different classrooms and age groups depending on the needs of the center.

What We're Looking For:

Must be 19 years of age or older High school diploma or GED required Must pass a background check Previous childcare, daycare, or classroom experience is highly preferred Dependable and able to consistently work the 2:00 PM-6:00 PM schedule Caring, patient, and comfortable working with children of different ages Flexible and willing to assist in different classrooms as needed Able to work well independently and as part of a team
