About us Avalon Montessori is a premier early childhood facility providing exceptional Montessori education in Montgomery, Al. Our school offers a safe, warm and joyful space for young children to enjoy the benefits of a traditional Montessori curriculum. Duties:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for preschool students Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development Provide individualized attention and support to students Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and participation Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and productive learning environment Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and events Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
Requirements:
Previous experience working with preschool-aged students, preferably in an educational setting Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education Strong ability to plan, organize, and implement engaging lessons and activities Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to effectively manage a classroom and promote positive behavior Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques Passion for working with young children and helping them develop essential skills Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
