Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth in accordance with early childhood education standards. Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual developmental needs are met through tailored activities. Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive environment through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Plan engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods and standardized testing preparation to support diverse learning styles. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare. Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols, mandated reporting laws, and health guidelines. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives, early intervention programs, and special education accommodations to support inclusive learning experiences. Requirements Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori practices. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare laws is preferred. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, tutoring methods, and early intervention programs is advantageous. Experience teaching physical education or working with students requiring special education services is a plus.
