Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Follow all safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures to respond promptly to emergencies Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities Assist in documenting children's developmental milestones and behavioral observations for ongoing assessment Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) including pediatric first aid training Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive guidance strategies Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention Passion for caregiving, teaching young children, and supporting their growth through engaging activities This role is an excellent stepping stone for those passionate about early childhood education or seeking hands-on experience in a nurturing daycare environment.
