Company Description Harvest Church of the Nazarene is a local faith community located in Conway, AR, committed to serving individuals and families through worship, discipleship, and outreach. The church places strong emphasis on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for people of all ages, including young children and their caregivers. Family ministries are an important part of the church's mission, with dedicated programs and spaces for children. Role Description This role is responsible for providing attentive, age-appropriate care for infants and toddlers up to 3 years old during worship services. Sunday tasks include supervising children in the nursery ensuring a safe and clean environment, following church safeguarding procedures, and communicating clearly with parents and caregivers about their child's experience. The Church Nursery Worker will organize simple activities, such as playtime, and collaborate with church leadership to support the overall children's ministry. The role also includes routine cleaning of toys and equipment, and reporting any concerns in line with church policies. Qualifications Ability to provide attentive Nursery care, including supervising infants and toddlers and maintaining a calm, nurturing environment. Knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding practices, with a commitment to following all safety and protection policies. Childcare experience, including managing small groups of children and supporting their basic developmental needs. Strong Communication skills for interacting with children, parents, caregivers, and church staff in a clear and respectful manner. Previous experience in a church, daycare, or similar childcare setting is beneficial. Ability to stand, lift, and move as needed to care for young children and maintain the nursery space. Willingness to undergo background checks and any required training or certifications related to child safety. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work collaboratively
