As a lead teacher, you have the opportunity to help children learn, grow, and explore while providing them a safe and nurturing environment. Duties Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support early childhood development and foster curiosity Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a stimulating environment that encourages exploration, socialization, and learning Monitor and assess each child's developmental progress, tailoring activities to meet individual needs Oversee classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing space for children and staff Collaborate with parents and families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support ongoing development Follow all licensing regulations and childcare standards to provide a safe environment Mentor and supervise assistant teachers and caregivers, promoting professional growth and teamwork Qualifications Experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members Ability to lead by example, demonstrating enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism at all times
