Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development. This role involves designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering social-emotional development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. The Preschool Lead Teacher will serve as a role model and leader within the classroom, promoting a positive learning atmosphere that supports each child's individual growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Manage daily classroom activities to promote active learning, social skills, and emotional development. Utilize behavior management techniques to create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment. Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and staff to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with families regarding developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a secure environment for children. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance on lesson planning and classroom management strategies. Incorporate diverse teaching methods such as tutoring, classroom experience sharing, and teaching physical education to foster well-rounded development. Stay current with best practices in childhood development, childcare, daycare operations, and private school standards. Skills Extensive experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool settings. Strong knowledge of curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math, and physical education. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention programs. Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement. Ability to develop lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and developmental stages. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to preschool assessment standards. Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized educational philosophies is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports child welfare and development.
