Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. In this vital role, you will support childhood development through attentive caregiving, educational activities, and positive behavior management. Duties Provide attentive care to children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the day Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, social skills, and emotional development Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and environments to meet their individual needs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Practice first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and potty training Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding routines and developmental milestones Familiarity with behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior Certification in first aid and CPR is strongly recommended Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
