About the Role As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a classroom that is consistently safe, licensing-ready, engaging, and emotionally supportive—where children learn through play, exploration, language-rich routines, and positive guidance. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED (required) Preschool teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting (strongly preferred) Strong understanding of preschool development, classroom routines, and play-based learning Strong classroom management using positive guidance and relationship-based approaches Strong attention to safety, sanitation, documentation, and daily structure Dependable attendance and punctuality Able to meet the physical demands of the job (bending, lifting, floor time, active supervision, quick response) Licensing, Clearances & Certifications (Required / Must Obtain) Because we are a licensed Arizona child care center, candidates must meet licensing and program requirements: Current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (required) Negative TB screening/test within the last 12 months (required) CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (required or must obtain within a specified timeframe after hire) Must meet all AZDHS Child Care Licensing requirements and maintain eligibility to work in a licensed program Arizona Licensing & Training Requirements (AZDHS) Bright Beginnings is a licensed child care center. All staff must be able to meet AZDHS requirements, including: New Staff Orientation (Required) Orientation training must be completed within 10 calendar days of the start date Orientation includes required topics such as health/safety, supervision, emergency procedures, child abuse/neglect reporting, sanitation/handwashing/diapering (as applicable) , and other licensing-required areas Annual Ongoing Training (Required) Staff must complete 24+ clock hours of training every 12 months, documented and maintained in staff records Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry (Required) You must be willing to create and maintain an active profile in the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry, where required training is tracked and verified.
