A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.
Coordinates and implements program curriculum for children ages 1 to 5 years at a program site. Interacts with school or organization and adheres to all ADHS (Arizona Department of Health Services) requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A LEAD PRESCHOOL TEACHER
Interact with children through activities and lesson plans. Create lasting memories for each child, each day. Plan and implement lesson plans. Oversee preschool staff and all activities This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE A LEAD PRESCHOOL TEACHER
: Minimum age of 21. Must enjoy working with children. Current fingerprint clearance card and negative TB or the ability to obtain. Associates degree and/or currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's program. Minimum of 3 years of qualifying experience in the childcare field and 6 credit hours in the childcare field or 60 documented training hours.
