Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant and Toddler Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher to inspire young minds during their formative years. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for infants and toddlers. An Infant/Toddler Teacher provides a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 5 months to 3 years. Responsibilities blend early education with essential caregiving, including executing developmental activities, tracking milestones, maintaining state health and licensing standards, and partnering with parents to support each child's physical and emotional growth. Duties Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence while ensuring child welfare and safety standards are met. Engage in daily care routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and health monitoring to support toddler care needs. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions. Work closely with colleagues to coordinate classroom activities, maintain organization, and ensure compliance with childcare regulations. Curriculum & Instruction Incorporate Montessori and play-based methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences tailored to individual developmental stages. Implement age-appropriate that stimulate cognitive, motor, and sensory development. Engage children in active exploration, storytelling, music, and dramatic play. Foster social-emotional growth by encouraging positive interactions, independence, and emotional regulations. Observation & Assessment Observe and track each child's milestones and daily routines to evaluate developmental progress. Maintain accurate, daily records (e.g., eating and diapering logs, incident reports, and developmental portfolios). Conduct assessments of children's growth using standardized testing when appropriate and adapt lesson plans accordingly. Parent Communication Provide regular verbal and written updates to parents about their child's daily activities and milestones. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and facilitate family partnerships. Collaborate with families through regular communication about each child's progress, milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Familiarity with literacy education, teaching physical education, math concepts, and classroom activities aligned with Montessori or similar educational approaches. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Experience in private school environments or daycare settings is a plus. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing results and support tutoring or individualized instruction when needed. Join us in shaping the future by nurturing young learners through energetic teaching practices that inspire curiosity and growth! This rewarding role is ideal for educators dedicated to fostering early childhood success in a supportive environment committed to excellence in childcare and education.
