Preschool Teacher Alameda Daycare Alameda, CA Job Details Part-time $25 - $32 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications School experience Special education Working with students Manual handling Pediatric first aid Early intervention Full Job Description Job Summary Our Daycare and Preschool is looking for the right teacher to lead the preschool classroom. If you are a strong teacher and have experience working with young children from 6 months to 5 years old in a childcare environment; you may be the one we need to add to our team. The position is located at Bay Farm Island in Alameda. manages daily classroom operations, leads curriculum implementation Be able to work in the morning. Duties Must pass physical exam, TB test, Criminal Record Clearance and Fingerprints and all other state license requirements. Requires updated immunization records. Must be able to pass CPR, Pediatric First Aid, and Mandated Reporter certification. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to perform duties such as lifting cots, assisting children onto changing tables, and lifting or carrying children in emergency situations. Must be able to squat or kneel to work at children's eye level. Must be able to move quickly throughout the classroom and outdoor environments to safely supervise children. Supervision of children requires frequent bending, twisting, and rapid movement in response to children's needs, particularly regarding safety and well-being. Must be able to rise easily from a seated position. Engage children in hands-on activities that promote childhood development, curiosity, and creativity while encouraging active participation. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that adheres to health regulations and promotes child safety at all times. Assist with classroom management by organizing materials, managing schedules, and ensuring smooth daily routines for Infant, toddlers or preschool-aged children. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to early intervention, special education, and behavior management. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds in private school or daycare environments is preferred.
Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
