Part-Time Daycare Assistant SunSmiles Family Home Child Care Antioch, CA Job Details Part-time $18 - $21 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities Ability to follow instructions Meal assistance Full Job Description Job Overview SunSmiles Home Child Care is seeking a reliable and caring Part-Time Daycare Assistant to join our licensed large family home daycare in Antioch, near the Walmart shopping center. You will help care for infants and young children and support their daily routines in a safe, welcoming environment. This is a temporary position for the next few months, with afternoon shifts from 1-5 p.m. Pay is $18-$21 per hour, based on experience. Lunch is provided. Responsibilities Actively supervise infants and young children during play, meals, and daily activities. Assist with feeding, diaper changes, toileting, and nap routines. Support age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and social interaction. Help children with different developmental and behavioral needs under the daycare provider's guidance. Keep play areas, toys, and supplies clean, safe, and organized. Follow daycare routines, safety procedures, and instructions. Communicate concerns and observations promptly to the daycare provider. Arrive on time and remain attentive and engaged throughout the shift. Requirements Reliable, responsive, patient, and able to follow instructions. Comfortable caring for infants and young children. Available consistently for the agreed 1-5 p.m. schedule. Able to complete required Live Scan and background clearance before starting. Able to meet applicable childcare licensing requirements for TB testing and health screening clearance. Previous childcare experience is preferred. Experience supporting children with special needs is a plus. Child Development students are welcome to apply.
