Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social development. Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies. Plan engaging lessons tailored to the developmental stages of toddlers and preschoolers, incorporating childhood development principles. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Maintain detailed documentation on child progress, standardized testing results, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Manage classroom routines to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization while fostering independence among children. Collaborate with special education professionals to support children requiring early intervention or additional assistance. Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety standards by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and following childcare regulations. Experience Proven teaching experience with young children in preschool or daycare settings. Strong background in early childhood education theories, childhood development, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing procedures for early learners. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Prior experience in toddler care or preschool teaching roles is highly desirable. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a supportive learning environment.
