We are looking for a Preschool Teacher to contribute to a strong, exciting, developmentally appropriate program for our unique little ones, including those affected by trauma. The Open Door Network is recruiting experienced childcare providers who are passionate about making a positive impact in our community, including those affected by trauma. We are the only childcare center in California operating at a homeless shelter, and we need special teachers to meet the needs of our amazing children. We are looking for a nurturing, skilled educator who creates an environment where children ages 2-5 can discover, grow, and thrive. Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, you'll lead a classroom grounded in developmentally appropriate practice — delivering curriculum, conducting assessments, building family partnerships, and ensuring every child in your care feels safe, valued, and ready to learn. Qualifications Education:

Valid Child Development Permit from the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing and at least 12 units in ECE/CD, including core classes.

Experience:

Twelve (12) months' experience working in a state or federally funded childcare program with preschool children. Experience with Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP).

Required Documents:

Valid Child Development Permit with at least 12 units in ECE/CD, including core classes).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

A pre-placement medical assessment/health and drug screening is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. This position is required to lift 50 pounds. LiveScan Fingerprint clearance is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within four (4) weeks of hire.
