Job Description
We are looking for a Preschool Teacher to contribute to a strong, exciting, developmentally appropriate program for our unique little ones, including those affected by trauma. The Open Door Network is recruiting experienced childcare providers who are passionate about making a positive impact in our community, including those affected by trauma. We need resilient, creative, hardworking individuals who are motivated to change the life of a child. We are the only childcare center in California operating at a homeless shelter, and we need special teachers to meet the needs of our amazing children. We are looking for a nurturing, skilled educator who creates an environment where children ages 2-5 can discover, grow, and thrive. Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, you'll lead a classroom grounded in developmentally appropriate practice — delivering curriculum, conducting assessments, building family partnerships, and ensuring every child in your care feels safe, valued, and ready to learn. This role also serves as a positive role model for staff, parents, and children, and supports families who may be experiencing trauma or crisis. Requirements /
