Mi Mundo Preschool Berkeley Mi Mundo Preschool is a Spanish immersion preschool that values creativity, relationships, diversity, nature, and learning through hands-on experiences. Mi Mundo Preschool is looking for a warm, creative, energetic, responsible and reliable Teacher to join our Spanish immersion program in Berkeley. We need two assistant teachers who can aid us in the afternoons at our two Berkeley locations. The positions are part time from 11:30-5:30pm. If the applying candidate has an open schedule and is looking for more hours. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with young children and who can bring enthusiasm and positive energy to the classroom every day.

The ideal candidate:

Has experience working with toddlers and young children Has completed at least 2 core Early Childhood Education (ECE) courses and is enrolled in the other two. Speaks Spanish fluently — a native Spanish speaker is preferred Is creative and enjoys planning and leading hands-on activities Is enthusiastic, patient and reliable Is a strong team player Has excellent communication skills Is able to work in a fast-paced preschool environment Is dependable, responsible, and professional Has a flexible schedule and is willing to help when needed Enjoys working collaboratively with teachers and communicating positively with families Is passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment for children Responsibilities The Preschool Teacher will: Provide attentive and nurturing care to children Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development Participate in Spanish immersion throughout the daily program Supervise children and maintain a safe and clean classroom environment Assist with snacks, meals, toileting, diapering, and other daily routines as needed Participate in circle time, songs, books, and group activities Communicate professionally and respectfully with families Work cooperatively with the teaching team Follow Mi Mundo Preschool policies and licensing requirements Maintain a positive, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
