This position plays an important role in supporting our teachers, children, families, and daily center operations. The successful candidate will provide classroom coverage for teacher breaks and lunches, assist in maintaining licensing compliance, support administrative duties, and help create a positive, nurturing learning environment for children from infancy through preschool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early childhood educator who enjoys working in multiple classrooms while also learning the administrative side of operating a high-quality preschool. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet the qualifications of a fully qualified Preschool Teacher under California Title 22 regulations, including: Minimum of 15 Early Childhood Education (ECE) semester units required. Infant/Toddler units are required to provide coverage in infant classrooms. Child Development degree or related field is preferred but not required. Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a licensed child care center preferred. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification before beginning required duties. Current California Mandated Reporter Training (MRT). Integrated Pest Management (IPM) training, or willingness to complete upon hire. Ability to meet all Community Care Licensing requirements, including fingerprint clearance, health screening, immunization requirements, and any other requirements as a condition of employment. Responsibilities This position includes both classroom and administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to: Provide classroom coverage for teacher breaks, lunches, planning time, and meetings. Substitute in classrooms when needed to maintain required teacher-child ratios. Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines. Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments. Support the Director with daily administrative duties. Assist with filing, organization, newsletters, classroom materials, and center projects. Use Brightwheel and other computer programs for communication and documentation. Assist with social media posts and family communication. Support licensing compliance and center organization. Work collaboratively with staff while maintaining confidentiality regarding children, families, and employees. Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the center.
