As we expand our center and are actively in the process of securing our toddler component license, we are specifically seeking an educator with hands-on experience working with children aged 18 to 36 months. In this role, you will help design a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment tailored to the unique developmental needs of young toddlers, fostering learning through play, self-discovery, and positive social interactions. If you bring patience, creativity, and a strong background in toddler care to our growing community, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and support child development milestones. Facilitate engaging lessons focused on literacy, math, physical education, and social skills to promote comprehensive growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to create a safe and nurturing environment. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and safety for all children. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special activities, assessments, and interventions tailored to diverse learning needs including special education and early intervention programs. Qualifications & Requirements 1) Minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development from an accredited college, covering core areas:
  • Child/Human Growth and Development
  • Child, Family, and Community
  • Early Childhood Curriculum / Program 2) Must have a minimum of 3 units in Infant/Toddler Care.
3) Coursework in Early Childhood Administration is a plus. 4) Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing). 5) Strong ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents. 6) Able to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team. 7) Punctual, dependable, patient, and flexible.
