Job Summary Job Summary The job of Early Childhood Education Assistant II is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for assisting one or more teachers in the direct care and supervision of the preschool-aged children, infants and toddlers in a child care facility; organizing and directing play-oriented learning activities; preparing and serving snacks; and assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment for children. This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: The ECE Assistant II provides activity and hygiene assistance to early childhood classrooms that operate under the Early Headstart Program. This job reports to Director of Early Education View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Applicant is required to have an Associate Teacher Permit from Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requiring 12 or more college semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, 3 of which must be infant/toddler.
