About us Newsongs School of Music has several locations, including East Sac, Citrus Heights and Elk Grove, CA (95624) and Laguna (95758). We are creative, collaborative, fun and our goal is to create a community around our students who love music, and help all students develop confidence in their own creative abilities. Music Teacher - Group Piano, Early Childhood & Other NewSongs Music School is hiring a skilled music educator with strength in group piano instruction for juniors (ages 4-7) and elementary students (ages 8-14). We serve over 1,500 students across multiple campuses. Our primary need is teachers who can confidently lead structured, skill-based group piano classes. We are also accepting ongoing applications for private and group teachers of all instruments and all ages. If your strength is elsewhere, tell us. What You'll Do Lead structured group piano classes with strong pacing and classroom leadership Teach reading, rhythm, technique, and ensemble skills Engage younger students through piano-based exploration, singing, and rhythm Communicate clearly and consistently with families Build long-term student relationships This is thoughtful music education — not entertainment and not babysitting. What We're Looking For Strong piano proficiency and music theory knowledge Ability to sing and lead from the instrument Experience teaching children (group experience strongly preferred) Professional communication skills Comfort adapting for different learning styles (special needs experience valued) Formal musical training (academic or private study) We value curiosity, consistency, and educators who take their craft seriously.
