Co-Teacher:
Position Summary Partners with the Lead Teacher to support daily instruction, child supervision, assessment activities, and family engagement. Provides continuity of instruction and classroom support in the Lead Teacher's absence. Minimum Requirements (Title 5-Aligned / HBMPAA Requirements) Valid Child Development Associate Teacher Permit, as required. Meets all education and experience requirements in accordance with the applicable permit matrix. Current CPR/First Aid certification and Mandated Reporter training, as required.
Infant/Toddler Assignment Requirement:
Must possess a minimum of 3 semester units of Infant/Toddler coursework when assigned to Infant/Toddler classrooms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implements small-group instruction, learning centers, and classroom activities aligned with established lesson plans. Maintains active supervision at all times and supports daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and transitions, to ensure child safety and well-being. Assists with child observations, documentation, and assessment activities under the direction of the Lead Teacher. Communicates with families as assigned and supports classroom and program events. Collaborates with classroom staff on environment setup, materials preparation, and sanitation and health practices. Lead Teacher:
Position Summary Provides leadership for day-to-day classroom instruction and the learning environment, ensuring high-quality teaching, consistent child supervision, and full compliance with Title 5 and program requirements. Establishes and maintains an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environment. Child Supervision and Guidance Maintains active supervision at all times to ensure child safety and well-being. Implements positive behavior guidance strategies in alignment with program policies. Assessment and Documentation Completes child observations, portfolios, and assessments (e.g., DRDP) within required timelines. Uses assessment data to individualize instruction and collaborates on
IEP/IFSP
implementation when applicable. Family Engagement Communicates regularly with families and conducts parent conferences as scheduled. Classroom Team Leadership Provides daily direction and guidance to Co-Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and Aides to support effective routines, coverage, and classroom operations. Pay:
$23.00 - $24.00 per hour
