In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment tailored specifically for toddlers, fostering their natural curiosity and love of learning. Your primary focus will be to support each child's developmental journey through thoughtful curriculum development, individualized attention, and effective classroom management. As a vital part of our community, you will collaborate closely with parents and guardians to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's growth and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the formative early years of children's lives. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum tailored for toddlers, emphasizing child-led exploration and hands-on learning experiences Create a warm, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages independence, social-emotional growth, and early literacy skills Engage children in activities that promote physical development, fine motor skills, and cognitive growth aligned with early childhood education standards Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, meal times, nap schedules, and behavior management strategies Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns using clear and compassionate language Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety at all times Maintain detailed documentation of lesson plans, child observations, developmental assessments, and standardized testing results when applicable Experience Prior experience working with children in a Montessori or similar early childhood education setting is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old Experience developing curriculum content focused on literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning for young children Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and foster a respectful learning environment Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are advantageous Proven ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Experience working within daycare settings or private preschool environments is beneficial Join us in inspiring the next generation of learners by providing a joyful foundation for their lifelong love of discovery!
