ECE - Infant Center Teacher

Bright Start is seeking a nurturing infant center teacher. Candidates must have a passion for providing exceptional care for infants
- 6 months old to 2 years old.
We are committed to providing a warm, safe, nurturing, and cooperative environment for children to grow in the social, emotional, cognitive and physical developmental areas.
Infant Teacher Position Qualifications & Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 12 ECE units including infant/toddler care course
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Minimum 1 year experience in preschool setting caring for infants
- Must have Background Clearance to transfer or must obtain clearance with Child Care Licensing by Hire Date
- Fluent in English (reading & writing)
- Strong communication skills
- Health and safety training
- Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment.
- Provide a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow.
- Supervise and prioritize the safety of a group of infants 6 months to 17 months old.
- Promote child welfare by ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each child.
- Tend to infant's basic needs
- feeding, washing face and hands, changing diapers and clothing, rocking to sleep
- Teach shapes, colors, numbers, & letters through reading, singing, nursery rhymes and age appropriate activities with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Be able to multi-task and work well with other teachers in a fast paced environment.
- Keep infant room in an inviting, clean, and organized manner.
- Greet parents with a respectful and positive attitude.
- Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety.
- Observe the children to evaluate their behavior, & development.
- Wash and sanitize infant room toys, high chairs and diaper changing area on a daily basis.
- Take infants outdoors and indoors with strollers for outdoor play time on a daily basis.
Candidates must:
- Be available Monday
- Fridays and be flexible (hours of operation 9:30 am
- 5:30 pm)
- Be fluent and articulate well in English.
- Communicate effectively in a positive and respectful manner with parents and co-workers.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs, change diapers, sit on the floor or activity level chairs, reach, climb, squat, and stand on feet for periods of time.
